Marking

Our respected and reliable Assessment Service gives you and your pupils the opportunity to replicate the real examination experience by having your scripts marked by a highly experienced examiner. This means that you can have confidence in the assessment process and in the data that you have returned to you. This service is available for almost all subjects and specifications.

Data & Analytics

Data that tells you your assessment story.

Examiners input data into Excel at question-level so that Question Level Analysis (QLA) can be provided. If learner targets are provided then results can be RAG-rated to enhance analysis.

Targets & Meta-data

It might be that you just need scripts marked with grades which is absolutely fine. We are here to support your needs. However, you might be after a bit more information.

Learner targets will really help us to give you the information that you need to move forward towards where learners deserve to be. We can also help you get a more complete picture of achievement if you provide a range of meta-data such as PP (Pupil Premium), FSM (Free School Meals), SEND, gender, ethnicity, and ability (HAPs, MAPs, LAPs). Results can also be analysed by teaching group.

Heat Maps

Spot patterns of achievement at a glance.

In addition to results we provide Heat Maps that allow you, at the click of a button, to identify patterns of achievement. This helps you see patterns you might want to address and supports you in constructing any intervention groups you might want to put together to address certain performance issues.

Results Cards

A personalised results card for every student.

Each student is provided with a personalised results' card which can be printed out by the client. Many clients print these onto stickers so that they can be placed in exercise books as a record. These Student Results' Cards can be a good way of getting learners to engage proactively with the data — understanding their performance and thinking about where and how to improve to reach their target grades.

Assessment Report

Taking you to the next level of learning.

Our examiners are trained to produce comprehensive Assessment Reports. These reports outline the examiner's findings from marking the cohort and offer a unique overview that should help your school leaders, teaching teams and students move forward to the next level.

Every report includes

  • 01 General findings
  • 02 Areas of strength
  • 03 Areas for Development
  • 04 Teaching & Learning Recommendations

Data Security

Your data being secure is our top priority. Our preference is for clients to provide candidate numbers matched to targets and meta-data — this lessens the chances of data breaches.

Our relationships with clients are governed by an Information Sharing Agreement which clearly sets out the roles and responsibilities in the partnership.

Completed results and the Assessment Report are returned via our secure results website: results.theassessmentbox.co.uk

Transporting Scripts Securely

We use DHL couriers to transport scripts. This enables scripts to be moved in a secure, convenient way that allows for packages to be tracked at all times — from your school reception to our marking centre and back again.

  • Chain-of-custody to marking centre
